We wish all of you a happy new year once again. The last year was successful for General World. We launched the current concept of the project, upgraded the quantity and power of our server fleet and of course grew the file database. Now the General Files database has reached an overwhelming number of 700 million of files and we are doing our best to make this enormous file collection searchable with the maximum possible speed and convenience.

It was a very intense year for us. We did a great amount of work to make the General Files a leading file search system. We put really enormous efforts into it and we hope it will continue to grow and fruit. Of course there are still a lot of things to be made but we believe with your support we’ll cope with it. Stay with us and we believe you’ll enjoy what we have planned for you.

One of the latest cheerful news is, of course, the long awaited promo with the giveaway premium accounts at the file sharing services. We see that you find it interesting so we are going to expand and improve the promo in the nearest time.

We try to make the system more transparent and intelligible and we need your support in this matter. At the same time we are asked every day about how can the users get more G-points. We thought it would be only logical to try to "recruit" some volunteers who would help us to develop the project in exchange for the G-points which they can spend for any feature or special option of the General World.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a highly skilled programmer. We need moderators for the forum, for the General Community and for the General Catalog. Our system already now offers a lot of options to search for the required files and structure and download your findings, but we want to make it even more intelligible. From the emails that we receive we understand that the system still lacks the transparency and we are looking for the moderators who could help other users to understand how things work, i.e. how to find password for a downloaded archive or how to request the file that is not currently in the database. We also need moderators who could help us to make good logical rules for the community and then become a watcher for the community. So if you like networking and if you like the General World and want to help the others, please apply.

Furthermore, we are in acute need of the testers. We constantly improve and modify the projects so we need several trusted guys to make the pre-release tests of the new features. In addition they would need to test any already implemented options, because every developer risks loosing the sharpness of vision when he/she works in a project for a long time.

And of course we would be happy to talk with any translators who can assist us to make localization of our projects to their native languages!
